So, it's November.
I've decided to update mostly because I feel that this is not just an issue concerning me, but all of you as well. Though it's been building up inside of my head for quite some time now.
(Know that I am writing this at 3 a.m. running on about 5 hours of sleep in the last 48 - bear with me.)
Why are most of the people you know idiots?
I mean, I'm a 19 year old female with a (slight) above average IQ. I can process formulas, decipher shapes, and put together simple patterns. I have the social skills necessary to get me by without much intentional embarrassment. I tend to think I'm mostly down to earth (though sometimes my head is up in the clouds...) and can function normally as dictated by societies standards.
Though I can't help but have a handful of 'acquaintances' that cannot seem to "act their age." I'm not talking about intentional immaturity. I'm talking about ignorance. None of them really seem to know that for their age, they aren't acting appropriately.
I'd like to give you an example from my observations:

Now before you go off on me and rant and rave (lol non-intentional pun) about all this "PLUR" stuff or whatever it is; I really have no problem with the fad (or whatever you want to call it...) I know a few kids who regularly go to raves or 'arties' as their referred to now days (at least it's what I'm told) and they're alright. What I don't get is the fact that we have 14-18 year old KIDS running around in all of that...uhm...COLOR EXPLOSION exposing themselves to the rave culture. I'm not going to sugar coat this. Drugs ARE part of raves. Period. And we have 15 year old kids doing X. Now, before the "Oh but teens try drugs anyway! It's part of growing up!"
I get that. Kids can get drugs practically anywhere now days. But drugs have been connected to raving ever since I can remember.
I'm going to admit right now, and I don't mean to offend, but every single 'kandi kid' I've ever met has been pretty shallow. It's like their stuck in a constant state of 13-year-old drama and can't seem to worry about anything past high school or how 'omg terrible' their parents are. I just want to have a deep discussion with someone based on their opinions of the universe and the theories that surround it. Not talk to a person who cannot complete a sentence without using "OMG lyke, i dunno wut that wurd means lol hahah!!!"
And to give the kandi kids SOME credit, it doesn't stop with them.

I'm just sick of these shallow people and their obsessive and ridiculous perspectives on the world! I know there is a difference between ignorance and stupidity, but sometimes I REALLY wonder which one is which. Not to be a complete and total bitch, I do LOVE my intelligent friends, I really do. They make it so I don't go to completely insane when in a social situation. I just think society should take one BIIIIIG look at what it's turned into, and realize all of the idiocracy running around! (By the way, Idiocracy is a great movie. It's basically this rant thrown into movie form. Only much better.)

All in all, I'm just pretty sick of my peers having the brain size of a Stegosaurus. I know most of them are innocent enough to the fact, and for that I sympathize, but some people just need to be shoved through a meat grinder.

P.S. I strongly believe in couples having to take a pre-test in order to breed. Or marry for that matter.

ALRIGHT HUZZAH! Toast is done with her ridiculously pointless 4 a.m. rant. I'm pretty sure most of it was full of half assed opinions, but as I said, I'm running on my last few brain cells here. If I wake up tomorrow and it's as terrible as a 12-year-old Mary Sue, I'll redo it. Promise.

Otherwise....

I'm going to Aveda! December 5th is my start date. I hope to be packed and moved in to my new apartment by the 1st of December, and things seem to be a little stressful. My financial aid award letter was sent to the wrong address, so I STILL don't have it, which will make getting student loans a little trickier. Also, there's only a handful of days until Sara (my roommate) and I have until our applications HAVE to be turned in. And we HAVE to be approved. Otherwise I have no idea where I am going to live.

Other than that things are peachy. Still no significant other after that July fiasco, but things seem to be content for me. I've found a guy who I have quite a bit of attraction for, and hopefully things will go well for us in the future. But for now I'm single, not looking, like long walks on the bea...
Never mind.

Next week will consist of Thanksgiving with the fam, my brother's play, rushing back to Minneapolis for a Thanksgiving get-together with my more 'anime-based' friends (BTW Minneapolis area - you are invited.) and then more stress about school!
